I WILL LAY ME DOWN

I WILL LAY ME DOWN

"When you're weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I'll dry them all
I'm on your side
Oh, when times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down."
I just had the incredible pleasure of seeing John Legend perform this beautiful Simon and Garfunkel classic,  and the words have remained in my head all week.

Although I often speak to “celebrating every day,” it is in the difficult moments that holding out our hearts and hands is the most meaningful.
Empathy, awareness and courage in difficult times are defining human characteristics.
Let someone know they are seen, that they are not alone, through a phone call, a flower from the yard, a special meal... or send an unexpected gift that can mean the world.
In celebration or in times of pain, knowing that someone is thinking of you is the greatest gift of all.
